- First, create your CoolMotion project, draw your function block diagrams, compile and test on virtual axes.

- You can directly use the I/O-s (potentiometers, switches, handwheels, LEDs, voltmeters) of the SBC-MI card.
- You can use the built-in minimal Human Machine Interface (min-HMI).
- You can also use the graphical Human Machine Interface (HMI) generated by CoolMotion software. Based on this you can create your own customized HMI.

If you download the help file (*.chm) and only the table of contents appears, with the main content area being blank or showing an error, the file is likely blocked by Windows security settings. Windows automatically blocks files downloaded from the internet to protect your computer. Since CHM files use Internet Explorer components to display their content, this security block prevents the content from loading.

Locate the File: Find the downloaded $\text{.chm}$ file on your computer (e.g., in your Downloads folder or on your Desktop).
Open Properties: Right-click on the $\text{.chm}$ file.
Select Properties from the context menu.
Find the Security Section: In the General tab of the Properties window, look for the Security section near the bottom.
Unblock: You will see a warning message like:
"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer."Click the Unblock checkbox or button next to this warning.
Click Apply, then OK.
The $\text{.chm}$ file should now open correctly with all content visible.

SBC-MI (Single Board Computer - Motion Interface) card is an interface between your CoolMotion project (running on the SBC) and motor drives. Click here for data sheet.
- It communicates with the CoolMotion project via Ethernet.
- It sends PWM, PWM/Dir, Step/Dir or CW/CCW control signals to up to 6 drives. Use more SBC-MI cards if your application has more than 6 drives. (You can cascade two SBC-MI cards to have up to 12 drives in a single coordinated motion group.)
- In addition, there are 4 encoder inputs, 4 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs and 12 digital I/O-s.
